Description
The cultivar Echinodorus x barthii is a decorative solitary plant for large aquariums, growing to 25-50 cm tall and 20-30 cm wide.young leaves are dark red, older ones dark green. Good color development is achieved with high light intensity and sufficient micronutrients in the aquarium. A nutrient-rich substrate and the addition of CO2 promote growth. The plant can cast a lot of shade and must therefore be shortened occasionally and was previously offered under the name "double red".
