Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow' on root
Microsorumpteropus 'Narrow' is a special variant of the popular Asian water fern that is characterized by its narrower leaves. These leaves grow out of the plant at a more right angle than the traditional Microsorum pteropus. This attractive plant is ideal for smaller aquariums and blends seamlessly into various aquarium landscapes.
Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow' grows easily on roots and stones and reaches a height of only 10-20 cm. Like other Microsorum varieties, this plant should be attached to a root or stone, preferably with nylon cord, until it has grown firmly. When planting in the substrate, the rhizome must not be covered, otherwise it may rot.
This easy-care plant can be easily propagated by dividing the horizontal rootstock (rhizome). The black spots that form on the underside of the leaves are spore receptacles (propagation organs) and not a disease, as is often wrongly assumed.
At Rendo Shrimp we are proud to be able to offer you the best quality Microsorum pteropus 'Narrow' on root. This plant is an ideal choice for aquarium enthusiasts who want to enrich their underwater landscape with a compact yet eye-catching plant.
