JBL Sansibar SNOW - Fine sand substrate for aquariums

Design your aquarium with JBL Sansibar SNOW, an extremely fine sand substrate that is suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums as well as aquaterrariums and terrariums. This high-quality substrate provides an ideal basis for a lifelike aquarium design and creates a healthy environment for fish, invertebrates and plants.

The fine grain size and dense storage of the sand prevent mulm and other debris from seeping in, which improves water quality and makes maintenance easier. Thanks to the soft, rounded natural sand grains, sensitive barbels of bottom-dwelling fish such as armored catfish and loaches are protected, making JBL Sansibar SNOW the ideal substrate for bottom-dwelling fish.

JBL Sansibar SNOW does not release any unwanted pollutants into the water and thus supports the health of your aquarium inhabitants and the vitality of the plants. Although this fine sand substrate is unsuitable for bottom heating cables, its bright, attractive color contributes to the aesthetic enhancement of your aquarium.

To use, rinse the substrate under tap water to remove any abrasion caused by transportation and apply to the substrate for optimum promotion of plant growth. The recommended layer thickness for strong plant roots is approx. 6-8 cm.
