Before use, we recommend rinsing the substrate briefly under tap water to remove any abrasion caused by transportation. To prevent a build-up of minerals in the water, carry out 50% water changes every 2 - 3 days for the first two weeks after filling. Please note that the softening effect will diminish over time, depending on your starting water and the intervals between water changes.
