The automatic white balance of the smartphone camera achieves an accuracy that is hard to beat manually.

Important to know:

Each test strip is designed for a single measurement. Repeated scanning can lead to different results, as the strip continues to react to the water.
As a bonus, the app calculates the current CO2 content in the water and, based on the results, provides specific solution recommendations for optimum water values.
If a nitrite value is displayed that is NOT 0, it is advisable to measure it with a drop test to ensure absolute certainty.

Possible sources of error and how to avoid them:

Allow the test strips to drip horizontally to prevent the colors from running.
Ensure even light when taking photos to achieve precise results.
