Hygrophila pinnatifida
Hygrophila pinnatifida is a striking aquarium plant that is similar in appearance to Bolbitis heudelotii, but is considerably larger and has different leaf colors. The plant has extremely decorative leaves with characteristically deeply incised leaf margins. The underside of the leaves is burgundy red, while the upper side varies from dark green to reddish brown depending on the light intensity in the aquarium.
This versatile plant can grow on both roots and rocks, making it a flexible choice for a wide variety of aquarium designs.
To plant the plant optimally, remove it from the cup and rinse the gel thoroughly under running water. Then divide the plant into small clumps of 1-2 cm and plant them at short intervals. As it grows, it will form a uniform group of adult plants.
This plant comes from in vitro cultivation and is therefore free from snails, parasites and algae. The high-quality gel medium used ensures rapid acceptance in the aquarium.
