GlasGarten ShrimpFit 35g – Immune Booster & Specialized Food for Ornamental Shrimp

GlasGarten ShrimpFit is a high-quality supplemental food for ornamental shrimp and was specially developed to quickly activate and strengthen the immune system. It specifically provides shrimp with nutritionally important active ingredients such as beta-glucans, mannan oligosaccharides (MOS), minerals, and chitin.

Shrimp possess only an innate, very simple immune system without immunological memory. This makes them particularly susceptible to recurring bacterial infections—especially during times of stress, when introducing new shrimp, or when their defenses are weakened. ShrimpFit helps the immune system respond more quickly and effectively and strengthens the animals’ natural resistance.

Many bacterial problems in the aquarium are not caused by pathogenic germs, but by otherwise harmless bacteria that can multiply rapidly when the immune system is weakened. ShrimpFit helps counteract these situations and can be used both preventatively and as a supportive treatment.

Active Ingredients & Function

Beta-glucans (β-1,3/1,6-glucans)
These structures are recognized by the immune system as “quasi-pathogens” and activate the immune response without triggering disease symptoms. They stimulate the production of immune cells and shorten the response time to pathogens.

As soluble dietary fiber, beta-glucans are fermented in the gut into short-chain fatty acids such as butyrate. Butyrate is an important energy source for the intestinal mucosa and has anti-inflammatory effects.

Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS)
MOS have a prebiotic effect, promote beneficial gut bacteria, and support a healthy composition of the gut microbiota.

Minerals & Chitin
These support the development of the exoskeleton and help prevent molting problems. Smooth molting reduces stress and indirectly strengthens the immune system.

Feeding Recommendation (per approx. 100 liters of aquarium)

First Aid / Emergency
• 1 heaping measuring spoon immediately
• After 2 days, another heaping measuring spoon

Preventative & Regular
• Normal stocking density: ½ measuring spoon twice a week
• High stocking density: 1 heaping measuring spoon twice a week

Note: 1 heaping measuring spoon equals approx. 0.7 g.
Do not feed any other food a few hours before or after feeding ShrimpFit to ensure optimal effectiveness. Overdosing or more frequent administration is not recommended, as the effect lasts for several days.
