Bacopa caroliniana
Bacopa caroliniana has been used as a popular aquarium plant for many years. Originally from the USA, it quickly reaches a height of 30 cm, while the stems are 3-4 cm wide. Apart from its relatively high light requirement, Bacopa caroliniana is an undemanding plant that is perfectly suited to various aquarium environments.
Due to its slow growth, Bacopa caroliniana is one of the few stem plants that does not require much care. It is at its best when planted in small groups, creating dense and attractive foreground vegetation. Propagation is easy by cuttings: simply take side shoots and plant them in the substrate.
Stems or very young plants are often supplied bundled together with an anchor. Remove the anchor and divide the individual plants. In the case of stem plants, the leaves on the lowest 5 cm of each stem should be removed, as well as any damaged leaves. Plant the individual stems in the substrate at an appropriate distance. The plant will root quickly and start to grow.
At Rendo Shrimp, we attach great importance to the quality and health of our plants. Bacopa caroliniana is an excellent choice for aquarium enthusiasts looking for a low-maintenance yet eye-catching plant. Its ability to root and grow quickly makes it an ideal addition to any aquarium.
