Anubias gracilis
Anubias gracilis is one of the most elegant Anubias species and originates from western Africa. Its triangular leaves, which are 5 - 10 cm long and grow on long leaf stalks, give it a distinctive appearance.
This plant is both frugal and robust, making it an excellent choice for beginners. Anubias gracilis can thrive on stones and roots as well as in the substrate. When planting in the substrate, however, it is important not to cover the rhizome, as this can lead to rotting and death of the plant.
It is interesting to note that Anubias gracilis can also grow out of the aquarium. The plant grows significantly larger above water, making it a special attraction in open aquariums.
