Description
Vallisneria spiralis 'Tiger' is a good beginner's plant from Asia that grows in all light and water conditions and is 30-50 cm long with 1-2 cm wide leaves. It is called 'Tiger' because of the horizontal stripes on the leaves. The relatively short leaves make it suitable for smaller aquariums and the narrow leaves do not cast a shadow on the smaller plants in the aquarium. It readily forms runners and is therefore easy to propagate.
