Description
Utricularia graminifolia from Asia is a member of the water lily family, all of which are perennial carnivorous aquatic and marsh plants. The presence of catcher bladders in particular is unique to this family, and these bladders are also formed in Utricularia graminifolia after a short time in the aquarium. The species name means "with grass-like leaves'', and the fresh green leaves develop after a short time into a pretty little mat reminiscent of a lawn. Utricularia graminifolia only grows to a height of 2-8 cm and is therefore an ideal foreground plant.
