Description
The plant was found by Thai aquarists near the border with Burma. In Thailand it is called 'Daonoi' (little star), and not without reason. Pogostemon helferi is a peculiar and different aquarium plant with a compact, 5-10 cm high growth habit, curled leaves and a beautiful and spectacular green color. Under good light conditions and with a nutrient-rich soil layer, Pogostemon helferi forms many side shoots on which small roots develop, so that the plant can create impressive foreground vegetation within a short time.
