Description

This cosmopolitan stem plant turns red more easily and is smaller than the well-known Ludwigia repens 'Rubin', with individual stems 2 - 4 cm wide and 10 - 30 cm high. The plant readily produces lots of side shoots, but pruning will naturally increase their number and make the plant even denser. The cut shoots can be replanted and quickly develop new roots. Optimizing the growing conditions, e.g. by adding lighting and CO2, will result in a more intense red color and stronger growth.
