Description
In the aquarium, the Indian Hygrophila pinnatifida develops lobed leaves with a leathery brown upper side and a wine-red underside. The plant grows to a height of 20-40 cm and forms horizontal side shoots. Top shoots must be pinched off to maintain compact growth. The horizontal side shoots like to cling to stones and roots. In smaller groups with a calm background, the growth habit and color are very eye-catching. In good light conditions, the compact shape is maintained thanks to the plant's moderate growth rate.
