Description
Cyperus is widespread throughout the tropics, but only a few species are good underwater plants. Cyperus helferi from Thailand is the first Cyperus species used in the aquarium. The plant requires a relatively high level of light and the addition of CO2 promotes growth. In aquariums with good water movement, the plant sways nicely in the current.
