Description
Aponogeton ulvaceus is one of the most beautiful species of the genus Aponogeton from Madagascar and the leaves are pale green, transparent and beautifully wavy at the edges. A single root tuber can develop more than 40 leaves and grow to a height and width of 30-60 cm. It is therefore most suitable as a solitary plant in large aquaria. It is relatively tolerant and thrives in soft and hard water, especially with CO2 fertilization, and there are many varieties, some of which require a dormant period during which the tuber does not form leaves.
